Commercial District Assessments
Whether you are in the early planning stages of a commercial district revitalization effort or you are administering a program that has been running for a number of years, a commercial district assessment is a helpful tool that can provide you an unbiased snapshot of your district and your commercial revitalization program so that you have the best information possible with which to make strategic decisions.
Our assessment service includes an observatory walkthrough of the physical district, an on-site visit with commercial district program staff and other important stakeholders to determine support for programming, and a mini-market analysis. We follow our visit with a report providing an overview of our observations, paying attention to strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the revitalization effort as well as recommendations for relevant next steps and “best practices” culled from our experience with other communities across the nation.
